Is there anything you don't buy?
Currently we do not buy toys or cards of any kind. We do not buy CD's, records, VHS movies, used games, magazines, encyclopedias, or adult materials. While we do sell new computer and video console games on a pre-order basis, we are not currently buying or selling used computer, video or console games or game systems. Again, just give us a quick call at 262-544-2008 and give us an idea of what you have to sell and we can tell you quickly if we're interested in taking a look at it or not.
I have some books, will you buy them?
On occassion we will buy science fiction and fantasy novels in good condition. Prices vary, but for most soft-cover novels in good condition we will pay $.25 (twenty-five cents) cash or $.40 (fourty cents)in-store credit per book, for hard-cover books we usually pay more.
You can get in-store credit or cash for used graphic novels in good condition too. On occasion we will also buy Japanese Manga. Prices vary depending upon condition and how new or old they are. We usually won't spend more than $5 (five dollars) each for any graphic novel unless it is an "absolute edition" or "omnibus". We won't spend more than $1 (one dollar) each for mint condition, newer manga. Most manga will be purchased for prices similar to paperback novels.
I see you sell DVD's, will you buy them?
On occassion we will buy DVD movies and tv-series collections in good condition. Most are $2 (two dollars) cash or $3 (three dollars) in-store credit per disk (so if you bring in a tv-series collection that contains 4 disks, you could get $8-$12). This is mainly for newer items that are mint and in the original cases. If we examine your disks and they appear damaged or scratched we won't buy them. We won't buy any anime DVD's or any pornographic material.
What is in-store credit?
While we do pay cash for items, we prefer to give you in-store credit. This is basically money that you can only use here at Neptune Comics. You can use it all at once, or over time, and it does not expire. We put it on a card for you, so it is easy to keep track of.
